On November 29-30 Gabriele Ferri and Martijn de Waal will travel with Inte Gloerich (Lectorate Network Cultures) to Newcastle to meet up with Northumbria University’s NorTH Lab to develop joined opportunities for research and teaching on the theme of ‘Making the Blockchain Civic’, answering questions such as “To what extent can the application of blockchain technologies be employed towards civic empowerment, organizing local civic and circular economies, reinstate trust in civic institutions, or, perhaps, create entirely new types of institutions”?
