Isavella Karouti is our new visiting researcher. She is an architect and a postgraduate student MSc on Cultural Organizations’ Management in the Hellenic Open University. She has a professional background in project management as she has been working as a project manager in European funded projects with a vast spectrum of subjects. Moreover, she is an Arkki (Finnish School of Architecture for children and youth) educator since February 2016, with teaching experience with 4-12 years old students.

She is interested in play in its different forms but mostly through urban games. Her on going master thesis is on the “Activities beyond the walls: urban games and cultural organizations. International practice and the Greek perspective”. In her thesis she will try to present urban games as a mean for cultural organizations to communicate with their audience and also as a tool to raise audience.

In HvA she will contribute to the Trust in Play project with the guidance of Martijn de Waal and Gabriele Ferri. The research area will be on how game designers approach the challenge of creating a game and the communication among game designers and other designers (like graphic, product, service designers, architects etc.).
